When we launched Miru at the end of April 2022, the application was not polished as we wanted it to be due to the limited development time and resources. We wanted the application to be available to our users and improve its basis for our user's experience.
In the last year, our team has worked on improving the application based on the feedback received from our users. Our goal was to make sure that the existing features work seamlessly and without any confusion. So instead of introducing a lot of major new features, we have prioritized fixing and enhancing the existing ones.
Miru 2.0 is the latest version of our time-tracking application. In this release, our team has focused on improving the existing features and overall performance of the application based on user feedback. The key improvements in Miru 2.0 are :
Responsive Design Across All Devices
Miru 2.0 is now responsive across all devices, making it easier to track time on the go. Users can log their time from their mobile devices, and admins can send invoices and view reports to make informed business decisions.
Improved User Interface
Our team has updated the UI of all pages in the application to follow best practices for UI design. We have simplified the UI by removing unnecessary elements and focusing on essential functions. Clear labels, logical grouping, and easily accessible navigation make it easy to use. We have also improved the signup and sign in pages by removing white space and adding visual elements that provide a sense of completion once the signup or sign-in process is complete.
Updated Technology Stack
We have moved all of our pages to ReactJS, which allows for easier maintenance, scalability, and code reuse across different parts of the application. ReactJS also enables us to build more dynamic and interactive pages.
Enhanced Reports
Miru 2.0 now includes four new reports that provide insights into actionable data for admin and owner user roles. These reports allow users to analyze work patterns, improve productivity, and make strategic decisions. For example, the revenue report provides insights into the revenue received from each client over the year.
Payment Notifications
Miru now sends email notifications to clients, admins, and owners when a payment is made for an invoice. Users can also mark an invoice as paid if the client has paid through another channel.
Simplified Signup Flow
The signup flow is simplified into three steps to make it quick and easy for users to get started with Miru.

We hope that our users will appreciate the improvements we have made to Miru 2.0. Our team has worked hard to ensure that the application is more user-friendly and efficient, and we believe that the new features will help our users to improve their productivity and make informed business decisions. We will continue to work on Miru to provide our users with the best possible experience, and we welcome any feedback and suggestions that our users may have.
